It feels like the Bocapizz is somewhat of a meeting point for the town. People of all ages, eating, celebrating birthdays, with family, friends, anything really. It really gives off a sort of familiar feeling, which I find a bit hard to pinpoint exactly. Maybe its how unpretentious everything felt. It looks like a bar, not really decorated, ran by a family. The prices felt unpretentious as well, which was a pretty big plus.

The pizza was pretty good, better than one might expect from the restaurant’s decor. The crust was very thin, nice and crispy, and the toppings were tasty. I was suprised by the ham especially. It was cut thicker than I’m used to in other pizzas, and it helped bring out the flavor. The only thing that was sorely lacking, in my opinion was the tomato. It was only really noticeable in the border. In fact, after the first few bites, I thought it had no tomato at all. If a pizza has tomato, I’d prefer if it had enough to be noticeable.

Mushroom and ham pizza

While Bocapizz might not be the most impressive, overall the experience was great. The pizza was exactly as good as a pizza should be for a place like it.

I also noticed a lot of people were ordering bocadillos instead of pizzas, so I guess I’ll try those next time I’m around. Almussafes in general seems to be well known for them, so I’m not suprised.
