What I like about Simón Boccanegra are mainly three things:
- Its quite cheap, relatively to other places in the area
- The atmosphere and service is great
- There’s some really unique dishes, mixing german(?) into the typical pizzeria menu
This time, it was raining, and a friday, so I decided to get two pizzas to go. Mine was one I thought looked really interesting, a spinach and taleggio pizza, while my friend, Chalbus got a more classic proscuitto.
The pizza itself was pretty good, I think. The dough had a pretty great texture, and the cheese and tomato had a really good balance. The spinach was the best part of it, however, I didnt really notice taleggio in there. I kinda wish it had more spinach, but this quantity is probably decent. I just like spinach quite a bit.
Its not the most mindblowing pizza ever, but its a good, reliable pizza place with some interesting offering. I’ll definitely come back, or order to go again in the future.
